BELLY COMPARISON!!!

Here are my three 16/17week Belly pics!!!  They are in order from current to my first pregnancy.  As you can see my Miles Bump (b&w pic) is similar in size to my Everly bump and my Lennon bump is noticeably bigger.  Now that I think about it, this doesn't mean that Everly is smaller at all, because Miles was just under 9lbs and 22 in long.  Looks like my abdominal muscles were still pretty loose at  10 months post-partum during my pregnancy with Lennon.  My tummy had a lot longer to bounce back this time and isn't popping so much!!! The best part of these pictures is looking back on the different phases my hair went through and the different places we lived!!! LOL!!!

17 WEEKS... AND WAY BEHIND ON UPDATES!!!

Here is my 17 week Everly bump.  I have to apologize for not being more on top of the weekly updates, but the holidays and out of town guests are my only excuse.... and well, now I promise to get back on it.  Everly and I are 17 weeks and 2 days along and momma is feeling great and Everly is kicking and moving up a storm in there.  I know it's too early to tell, but based on looking at my past belly pics with Lennon, little Everly is looking like she might be a little smaller than her brothers after all.  My bump is much tinier at 17 weeks this time than it was at 16 weeks with Lennon.  I will post a comparison pic so you can judge for yourself.  Of course, I carried pretty small with Miles for a while.... so maybe I should post that too!!!  Either way Everly and I are growing growing growing and I am adoring the little bump that is my lady bug and cherishing every little kick, punch, and nudge she throws my way.

OUR NEW NURSERY INSPIRATION PICTURES

Here's the the pictures of a nursery that we plan to use as inspiration for decorating Everly's room!!!  The first three are of the nursery we plan to emulate and the last one is mostly to show how beautiful a black crib would look with this color combination. We are going to use a black crib instead of white and we will paint our current changing table/dresser grey and replace the knobs with something feminine and stylish.  We also plan to have a couple of white pieces of furniture to round out the look.  We are so excited about this nursery and have already started shopping etsy for unique artwork to adorn her walls!!!  We have a beautiful black and cream damask floor rug that we will keep in this room to add to the look and an incredible black mirror with lovebirds on it, as well.  This nursery should prove to be adorable AND sophisticated.  Something she will grow into.... not out of!!!

CALL ME CRAZY, BUT....

I am in LOVE with the idea of a Jenny Lind Crib for Everly's nursery.  I know that most people are opting to go with the oversized, ornate, fancy detailed cribs, and I do love those too (trust me -- there isn't much out there for girls that I don't swoon over), but the Jenny Lind is timeless, classic, and so dainty and feminine.  With all of the nursery planning that has been going on in my head since we found out that our bug is a girl, I have always envisioned a simpler crib, but we decided that we were just going to sand and repaint Miles' nursery furniture and repurpose it.  That is until we really got to thinking about the amount of work and time that would take.  So, I got to looking around on the net and came across the Jenny Lind!!!  My research on the Jenny Lind has led me down a new path of design and color ideas for the nursery and I am so excited to begin implementing everything.  Our original plan was to paint the walls a soft peach color, paint the furniture antique white, and decorate in bold pinks, yellows, aquas, lilacs, and go with a bird and owl theme.  I have come across several photos of mint or soft aqua blue walls with a black crib frame, white or grey accent furniture, black and white accents (like a rug ...drapes) and dashes of the colors peach, fuschia, lilac, throughout.  I am in LOVE with these pics and this new idea and I think I can definitely make it work with the handful of items we have already started to collect for the nursery.  I will still go with owls and birds!!!  We are so excited about getting started on turning our EXTRA room into Everly's beautiful new bedroom!!!

IT'S A....

BABY REGISTRY - BABYLI.ST

For friends and family who have been asking, we do indeed have a registry for Baby Everly.  We opted to register through a new online registry that allows us to add items from vendors all over the web, including our beloved Etsy!!!  We are registered at the following link through BabyList!!!

http://babyli.st/baby-koiter

This has been the most fun we have ever had sorting through baby choices.  We have learned that there REALLY are waaaaaaaaay more options out there for girls.  And it turns out that momma is not as adverse to pink as she once thought.  The hardest part about all of this has been practicing restraint.  Well.... okay.... TRYING to practice restraint.  It's almost impossible when Etsy vendors are making gorgeous little lace rompers and baby barefoot flowers!!!  Either way..... we know that a few of you are just as excited as we are to purchase something a little pink and sweet, so we have put together this registry with some of the things we love and need to welcome baby Everly home.  xoxoxoxoxox

OUR LITTLE GIRLS NAME....

Now that everyone knows that June Bug is a little lady bug, it's time to announce her name to be.  If she had turned out to be he our little bug would have been named HENLEY JAMES KOITER.  But, she is most definitely a SHE and will be named:

EVERLY WYNN KOITER

We adore this name and are so excited to meet the beautiful little babe that we have been honored and blessed to be able to give this name!!!  xoxoxoxoxox
